There are five constituent generation models available in Source.  Further information on these is available in the following sections:

  1. Nil constituent
  2. EMC/DWC
  3. Export rate
  4. Power function
  5. Observed concentration
  6. Simple GW salt model

The first four five of these models are potentially suitable for modelling any constituent (at zero concentration in the case of the first).   Only the 1st, 4th and 5th of these produce time series outputs.  The other two produce Note that the EMC/DWC and Export rate models are more relevant for estimates of long term loads.

The first three of these nil constituent, EMC/DWC, export rate models operate at the functional unit (see Glossary for definition of term) scale and the other two observed concentration, power function and simple GW salt models operate at the catchment scale.  A suitable constituent filter needs to be applied to results from the EMC/DWC and Export rate models if they are to be brought to catchment scale.

Note that the simple GW salt model is only available if you have installed the PERFECT GWlag plugin.
