The Changes tab is a visual representation of specific changes made to the model as the model is developed over time. It effectively provides a detailed "history" of the model.
The Changes tab is intend to complement the information provide on both the Scenarios and Versions tab by describing the relationships between the two.
Users are interested to find out a changed made to a scenario in a given version.
However, the Versions tab does not allow for the detailed information about which scenario change and what the change was. The changes tab allow providers to describe specific information.
Scenarios
A scenario may or may not be changed in a given version.
Each scenario has its own separate lifecycle. and can be created, updated and deleted independently.
A scenario has to the other scenarios and also to the model that contains it.
The scenario tab only list the scenarios but does not provide information about any changes made to the Scenarios of the model in the specified commits. each scenario. Similarly, the versions tab only contains information about the various changes to the model, but not what was change in each version.
The Changes panel allows users to quickly visualise the change history of a scenario, that would not be possible by simply looking at the version history.
It also provides a basic overview of the history of each scenario.
Display
Models changes a displayed in a tabular form with individual versions displayed as rows and individual scenarios displayed as columns.
Each cell represents a specific combination of scenario and version change.
Change Types
The changes tab tracks for A change is modification made to a scenario in a specific version. The table contains four basic type of changes.
