Setting Catchment Defaults
MUSIC incorporates many parameters which can be edited. For example:
- source node rainfall-runoff properties
- source node water quality parameters
- treatment node parameters
MUSIC contains inbuilt default values for these parameters, in a file called "MUSIC6.ini", located in the same directory as the music.exe program. However, there may be occasions where you wish to customise the different default parameters. For example, you may be working on projects in different regions, and wish to have a separate set of default values for each region.
Catchment defaults are accessed from the Settings tab:
Â
Use Edit to edit the required parameters:
Â
You can then save the customised default values, and load them for future catchments as required.
For example, if you were undertaking models in both Perth and Canberra, you may set up two default files: Perth.def and Canberra.def, and use the appropriate default as required.
Note that for Urban pollutants, you can customise defaults for each zoning/surface type. You can also customise the urban rainfall-runoff parameters by zoning/surface type, even though the inbuilt rainfall-runoff parameters do not vary by zoning-surface type.
