The changes in this beta will be available in the next Source production release, Source 5.12 due out at the end of December 2021.

This release includes improvements to Complex Supply Point Distribution Loss and a number of minor issues.

Supply Point Distribution Loss

The editor has been simplified and the logic as well.  There are now also more recorders for each individual loss. It now makes it clear that the proportion is of Supplied demand, rather than demand.

Plugin Developers

We have upgraded to Visual Studio 2019. Plugin developers will need to use Visual Studio 2019 for 5.8beta onwards.

Regression Testing

There is no tolerance in our regression test suite to allow for earlier identification of results being different on different machines or versions of operating systems.

Insight

To run Insight, you also need to install the 32bit version of Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable Package.
This installer is for 32bit machines and 64bit machines since the library we use is 32bit: Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable Package (x86).
