5.10 Results and Configuration Changes from 5.4

Some results have changed between Source 5.10 and Source 5.4. The eWater development team maintains a detailed system to track when results vary between different versions of Source.

The main project changes in the regression test suite were due to node and link names with trailing white space. For example, nodes and links with names such as "Storage " won't be allowed to open in this version of Source. You will need to fix these names in a previous version of Source. These trailing white spaces were causing errors to occur in the results manager.

Areas with result differences occur are:

  • Calibration projects
  • Environmental Flows
  • Constituents modelled with Marker routing, particularly at Weirs
  • Confluences constraint handling for Unregulated sections of networks
  • Storages with "Do Not Order From Upstream Storages"
  • Urban Developer demand models
  • Constraint factors in planning models with ownership

To test your project:

  1. Create a regression test in Source 5.0, see 5.4 Regression testing
  2. Run it in Source 5.4 to test for any result changes, see 5.10 Regression testing

Details of changes for each beta release are here:

5.6 Regression Test Changes (none)

5.5 Regression Test Changes (none)
