3.4.2 - Beta Release (July 2013)

This focus of this sprint has been finalising incorporating the Expression editor changes (now called Functions manager) and improving error reporting.

(warning) Results changing

Allocations have been improved and are now allowed to go negative.

Simple accounting has some changes that are still being tested so may give different results and may be changed shortly.

New functionality

New functions system work:

  • Source OpenMI plugin working with new functions system
  • MetaParameter explorer functionality has been replaced - right hand click on a function and "Add Usage"
  • Allow setting functions by Command Line
  • Calibration tool updated to new functions system.
  • Expressions don't execute as often. 
  • Reporting time of execution changes
    • We have changed the Simulation phases (3.3.0 Simulation phases) and moved the recording phase to be after the "End Of Time Step" execution of the Function manager.
    • New time of evaluation optin included "Post Flow phase"
  • Functions can refer to themselves

More Meaningful Errors

  • Functions time of evaluation log Tools\Function Execution Order: 


  • Improved error reporting and validation on the controlled splitter node
  • Enable a log of all evaluations of an expression at a nominated time step 

New Notes system

  • On Feature Editors - allow user to add in a comment or "Force Node Info/Warning/Error" with a message
    • On high level item in tree for nodes and links (storage routing):

Existing Issues

  • Copy & paste functionality does not copy expressions
  • Can now add constituents to a catchments model. Save and re-load project  - it will not be able to run straight away.

Insight

To run Insight you also need to install the 32bit version of Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable Package.
This is for both 32bit machines and 64bit machines since the library we use is 32bit:

Plugins

If you are downloading any of the separate plugins – DERMTools etc – then you will need to manually 'unblock' this file in Windows after downloading. To do this, right click on the dll file in windows explorer and select properties. At the bottom of this window will be comment along the lines of 'this file has been downloaded from the internet and has been blocked to protect this computer'. There should be an 'unblock' button next to the warning. Click unblock and then click ok. The plugin should then load
