Blog from March, 2014

The areas worked on for this release include:

  • Resource Assessment and Annual accounting
  • Feature Table improvements:
    • Import / Export has been implemented
    • Copy paste number of cells / rows
    • Context variables for Rainfall runoff models
    • Demonstration video: FeatureTableDemo
  • A number of graphing changes such as renaming key's on graphs and adding a Residual Mass plot.
  • Run time performance improvement for calculation of constraints in storages. Noticeable for models with a number of storages.
  • Plugins are less fussy about versions. RM-11121 - We now only update 3 (e.g. 3.6.3) digits of the "AssemblyVersion" rather than 4 (3.6.3.1393).
  • Rainfall in Rainfall runoff models units have changed from mm/d to mm. This shouldn't impact anyone with daily models, however should correct runoff generation in models with shorter and longer timesteps.
  • A number of minor issues and bugs.

The Source 2014 collaboration group is now available, giving you the opportunity to help plan the program for Source 2014. Everyone is welcome to participate in the planning stage – we'd like to know what topic you'd like to see covered, if you're interested in giving a talk, or if you've got a modelling project you'd like to showcase.

How to write a plugin (3 day course)

This three-day course helps developers and modellers gain a better understanding of Source development, and how / where plugins can be used to customise Source. Those with some inclination to code will be able to write their own plugins by the end of the course.
Canberra 12–14 May

Source fundamentals (2 day course)

This two-day course covers the major elements of Source at an introductory level with presentations and hands-on tutorial sessions in hydrological modelling.
Adelaide 29–30 May / Melbourne 4–5 June / Brisbane 19–20 June

Source member staff and students receive 10% off the standard price of the course. To apply the discount, enter the VIP Code 'SMC2014' during registration.
