The workshop program will be similar to last year's because of the positive feedback we received. However, we'd like to shift the focus slightly by:

  1. having more talks from you in the best practice modelling sessions, and
  2. dedicating the plenaries to presentations (and discussions) between senior modellers and water managers who use the model outputs.

The /wiki/spaces/SC/pages/51644693 page gives you the opportunity to help us refine the program. You can:

  • register your interest in giving a talk (15 mins)
  • reserve a booth in the Modelling Souk (for free, but there are limited spaces)
  • suggest topics for discussion – we'll design the best practice modelling sessions and the "masterclasses" around popular topics.

Everyone is welcome to participate in the planning stage. Your ideas and contributions will help to make this a rewarding workshop. What topic are you interested in?

The Source development team are currently planning to improve Source output and reporting functionality to better meet the needs of water modellers and water managers. We invite you to give your input as part of the requirements gathering phase of the process. We've already begun to capture previous discussions with the community, with specifications being prepared for the development environment through JIRA. Please view the existing material and add comments, examples or additional issues where necessary. Full instructions can be found here:

If you have any questions, please contact Juanita Moolman, Geoff Davis or Geoffrey Adams. This process will be open until 10 May 2014.
