There are five constituent generation models available in Source.  Further information on these is available in the following sections:

  1. Nil constituent
  2. EMC/DWC
  3. Export rate
  4. Power function
  5. Simple GW salt model

The first four of these models are potentially suitable for modelling any constituent (at zero concentration in the case of the first).  Only the 1st, 4th and 5th of these produce time series outputs.  The other two produce estimates of long term loads.

The first three of these models operate at the functional unit scale and the other two operate at the catchment scale.  A suitable constituent filter needs to be applied to results from the EMC/DWC and Export rate models if they are to be brought to catchment scale.
