Annual descriptive statistics

Annual descriptive statistics allow you to compare a single result from multiple runs.

To generate annual descriptive statistics, right click on a result in the tree menu and select Statistics » Annual Descriptive Statistics.

Figure 5 shows annual descriptive statistics for a single result:

  • The upper left pane shows the overall statistical data;
  • The upper right pane allows you to select the relevant run(s); and
  • The table at the bottom shows the resulting statistical data on an annual basis.

1. Overview

The Annual Descriptive Statistics feature allows users to compare a single result across multiple runs. The recent update introduces a checkbox tree control to simplify the selection of top-level runs and sub-runs, making it easier to handle larger datasets or complex replicate analysis jobs.

2. Generating Annual Descriptive Statistics

To generate Annual Descriptive Statistics, follow these steps:

  1. Right-click on a result in the tree menu.
  2. Select Statistics » Annual Descriptive Statistics.

The updated interface (Figure 5) includes several improvements to streamline the selection of runs.

3. Updated Interface Overview

The new Annual Descriptive Statistics interface consists of three main sections:

  • Upper Left Pane: Displays the overall statistical data for the selected run(s).
  • Upper Right Pane: This pane now features a checkbox tree control that allows users to select or deselect both top-level runs and sub-runs within a Replicate Analysis job.
  • Bottom Pane: Shows the resulting statistical data on an annual basis for the selected runs.

4. Selecting Runs Using the New Checkbox Tree Control

The major update is the introduction of a checkbox tree control in the Upper Right Pane. This control allows for more intuitive navigation and selection when dealing with multiple runs and sub-runs.

  • Checkbox Tree Structure: The tree expands to show both top-level runs and their associated sub-runs, making it easier to select the exact runs you want to analyze.
  • Select/Deselect Runs: Use the checkboxes to select or deselect specific runs or sub-runs.
  • Search Bar: The search bar at the top of the pane allows users to quickly find particular runs or sub-runs by typing part of their name.
  • Quick Select Options:
    • Select None: Deselects all the runs in the tree.
    • Select All Unique Runs: Automatically selects all unique runs, eliminating the need to select them one by one manually.
  • No labels
