Producing a Catchment Summary Report

Producing a Catchment Summary Report

In MUSICX, you can generate a file that provides a textual summary of all the model parameters used. To create a Summary Report, navigate to Edit > Scenario Options > MusicX Summary Export Settings, then enable Auto Export on Run, as shown in the figure below. Additionally, specify a directory to save the summary file.

This report is saved in the .MRT file format by default but can also be exported as a text file. This file is particularly useful when someone other than the modeller needs to review the model setup and the results. They can use the summary report to review all MUSIC model input parameters and results and then assess whether they comply with their guidelines or fall within the expected ranges.

It is recommended to record all key statistics—including Mean Annual Load, Treatment Train Effectiveness, and Node Water Balance—for all nodes and links before running the model for summary report generation. However, even if one or more of these recorders are disabled, the summary report will still be generated, with the corresponding fields left blank.
