The Source Modelling Community grew out of a cooperative effort (eWater Cooperative Research Centre and its predecessors) to create a new generation of software for solving increasingly complex water management problems.

eWater gratefully acknowledges the Australian Government’s financial contribution to the development of the eWater Source modelling software through its agencies, the Department of Innovation, Industry, Science, Research and Tertiary Education, the Department of Sustainability, Environment, Water, Population and Communities, the National Water Commission and the Murray-Darling Basin Authority. We also acknowledge and thank all state partners to the National Hydrological Modelling Platform contract:

  • Department of Environment, Water and Natural Resources (South Australia)
  • Department of Sustainability and Environment (Victoria)
  • Environment and Sustainable Development Directorate (Australian Capital Territory)
  • Office of Water (New South Wales)
  • Department of Science, Information Technology, Innovation and the Arts (Queensland)
  • Department of Natural Resources and Mines (Queensland)

We also give a special thanks to individuals from these organisations and the Source Modelling Community who have contributed to knowledge sharing, research and development related to the eWater Source software.
