Beta release 4.2.3 has upgrades to resource assessment, water quality processing in storages, and requires an upgrade to Microsoft .net.
Upgrades for Resource Assessment
Inactive Storage can now be set in a Resource Assessment system to represent the volume of water that should be ignored when calculating the available water resource. The dead storage volume in the storage node is now NOT used in resource assessment - it is for user information only, and is calculated from the release curves. A minimum operating target can be used to define an operational dead storage level that is higher than the physical dead storage level calculated from the outlets. There have been various improvements made to the Continuous Sharing functionality specifically for the Border Rivers Application.
Water Quality Processes in Storages
Source now allows plugins to work with interdependent constituents within a storage node for example to simulate water quality or sediment processes in reservoirs. To get started with developing plugins, contact us for training and support options.
Upgrading to .net 4.6.2
We have updated the version of Microsoft .net required to version 4.6.2. This will usually come with windows updates, however tightly controlled IT environments may not have windows updates enabled and may need this installed. If this is the case, please contact your local IT department. Microsoft .NET Framework 4.6.2 (Offline Installer)
