Version 1 Current »

The main new feature in this release is the ability to change parameters with Input Sets, a number of Annual Accounting issues (with lots of regression test changes), ability to modify the execution order with rules, a number of bug fixes and a number of minor improvements.

Input Set Parameter Changer

The Input Set user interface (Edit \ Input Sets) now includes the ability to change most parameters when you change input sets. The syntax lines up with the Summary Export (Tools \ Export Summary). However you need to include the full path to the parameter and use an "=" rather than the "," in the export. It includes the ability to define the list of parameter changes in a file with reload on run similar to data sources.

Use Ctrl + Space Bar to see what the options are e.g: Syntax Screenshot
After you include "=" it will show the available options. Some parameters can be a single value, a data source or a function e.g: Available equals

Execution order changes

  • The ability to modify the execution order has been included (Edit \ Execution Order Rules)
  • Viewing the execution order is better and can now be done without running the scenario/recording it (now under View \ Execution Order)
  • Consolidated the execution order for flow phase and ordering phase to use the same list (flow phase top to bottom, ordering phase bottom to top)

Cool minor changes

  • Regression tests can now depend on community plugins (big grin)
  • "Apply Value(s) To All Rows" option has been included in editing Rainfall Runoff models and Constituent generation / filtering models
  • Execution order included into Export Summary (Tools \ Export Summary)
  • Cross section editor fixed (was in 3.8.2 but had unit issues) ( Unable to locate Jira server for this macro. It may be due to Application Link configuration. ):

Coming Soon:

  • GUI Scenario diff tool (within Source and as an external tool)
  • New plugin management
  • Google maps style view of scenarios (first cut)
  • Groundwater on links improvements and new user interface
  • New Chart (first cut)

For details see: 3.8.3 Regression Test Changes

Insight

To run Insight you also need to install the 32bit version of Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable Package.
This is for both 32bit machines and 64bit machines since the library we use is 32bit: Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable Package (x86).

Existing Issues

  • Copy & paste functionality does not copy expressions or Data Sources.
  • Can now add constituents to a catchments model.  Save and re-load project  - it will not be able to run straight away.
